Angry Birds Integration Coming to Starbucks?

Angry Birds integration could be coming to a Starbucks near you, according to The Guardian.

The coffee giant is reportedly in talks with Rovio to allow in store Angry Birds leaderboards, allowing customers to compete for the highest score.

“It’s tying in the real world with the virtual world,” explained Rovio Senior Vice President Wibe Wagemans. “Retailers get new customers who’ve not been to their stores yet, and repeat customers.” He went on, noting that the leaderboards have already been tested at Barnes and Noble stores around the country.

Starbucks issued a brief response that neither confirmed nor denied talks with Rovio. “While we are always looking for great partnerships to better meet the needs of our customers, at this time we have no announcements regarding any work with Rovio Entertainment.”
