Multiplayer Mobile Game Shadowgun: DeadZone Available On iOS and Android

Shadowgun: DeadZone allows gamers to experience immersive tactical multiplayer combat on their mobile devices. Up to 12 players can battle online on various maps with 10 different playable characters and a rich variety of game content. Moreover, Madfinger Games promises to continue to support the game: “We plan to add new items, gadgets, maps and game modes,” confirmed Marek Rabas, CEO at Madfinger Games.

Madfinger Games has again worked in conjunction with big industry names such as Unity, Nvidia and now with Ericsson as well. In addition to game pad support, Shadowgun: DeadZone includes a multiplayer voice chat exclusively developed and provided by Ericsson. This completely new service has never been implemented in a mobile multiplayer game to this extent before.

Shadowgun: DeadZone is available on both iOS and Android free to play. Players can also make a premium account to get exclusive benefits. “It has nothing to do with a ‘Pay to Win’ system. We’ve been very careful about spending money in the game. Neither IAP nor the premium account gives you any advantages in gameplay, it just helps you advance faster,” pointed out Marek Rabas.

Shadowgun: DeadZone is available on iOS devices with at least 512 MB RAM (including iPod touch 5. gen, iPad 2 and iPhone 4) and will be also supported on Android devices with version 3.0 Honeycomb and higher.

“Madfinger is one of the best studios using Unity today and really understand how to take our technology and make it sing,” said David Helgason, CEO, Unity Technologies. “The multiplayer of Shadowgun: Deadzone is another showcase piece that makes us all proud.”

“Madfinger Games continues to develop amazing content that plays brilliantly on Tegra-powered devices,” said Ashu Rege, Vice President, Game Content & Technology at Nvidia. “As the beta cycles have shown, Shadowgun: DeadZone is yet another triumph and we’re thrilled to have helped the team launch each stage of the project.”

“We are excited to work with Marek and his talented team at Madfinger Games. This game, Shadowgun: DeadZone, will set a new standard for iOS & Android games and we are thrilled to see how our voice service adds another dimension to an already fantastic game,” said Mathias Linder, Head of Global Sales & Marketing, Ericsson In Game Communication.
