While there are only about 400,000 apps in the App Store  right now, not every app that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s approved\u00c2\u00a0stays in the App Store forever.  But for a platform that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s only a few years old, 400,000 or 500,000 apps  ain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t bad at all.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, a fair number of those apps are poorly made games or  simple apps that don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have much to offer. But not only are there more  apps for iOS than any other smartphone platform at the moment, but it  sure seems like there are more high quality apps for the platform as  well. The Android Market, BlackBerry App World, and Windows Phone  Marketplace deal with their fair share of shovelware, too.<\/p>\n<p>The folks at Chomp and\u00c2\u00a0Chillingo put together the above infographic to mark the impressive milestone.
