Google Adds New Tabs to Revamped Mobile Page

Google Adds New Tabs to Revamped Mobile Page

iPhone and iPod Touch users should begin to notice some design changes and an enhanced user interface when navigating the Google search page in Safari.

Phone Arena first noticed the altercations, pointing out that large icons have replaced the smaller text links at the top of the page. The new icons are visible after searching on an iOS device.

Google has added tabs that can be accessed by pressing the ‘More’ icon to the right. Interestingly enough, there is also a separate category that shows some of the most common services offered by Google, including YouTube and Google Translate.

Google appears to be rolling out the changes to the iOS userbase gradually. Plenty of users can’t see the new search page, but there are also user reports confirming the anomaly. On the other hand, some iPhone users have reported that after browsing the new layout, the page reverts back to the original style.  Google may just be testing the new user interface and may not plan to officially launch anytime soon.

You can check to see if the fresh page is available to you by visiting m.google.com on your iPhone or iPod Touch and performing a search.  You must be logged into your Google account on the device.
