Nanaimo Studio introduces Hungry Monster for iPhone and iPod touch

Seattle, Washington – Nanaimo Studio, a mobile app developer is proud to announce the release of their new kids’ application for the iPhone Hungry Monster 1.0. Hungry Monster is an interactive game for children age 2 and up. Created by Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist, Steve Breen, the app is Nanaimo Studio’s first for kids.

In a world where parents are increasingly using their smart phones to entertain kids while at the bank, supermarket, dentist etc, Hungry Monster is tailor made to keep kids happily occupied. The game play is so simple, little if any help is needed from mom or dad.

Sydney is a spunky yellow monster with an insatiable appetite for all kinds of food. A seemingly endless supply of items appear one after the other above him: Turkey legs, cheeseburgers, apples, donuts, chocolate bars, even harmonicas and old shoes. Dragging items into his mouth triggers different humorous reactions. Or you can discard objects into the hole in the ground. When you wait too long to feed Sydney, he grunts and whines for more food. When a “gross item” like a bar of soap or an old sock is thrown into the hole, the player is rewarded with a “disco cupcake”. Feed it to Sydney and watch him boogie down!

The humor and simplicity of Hungry Monster make this app stand out from the pack. The sound effects, clean animation and the charm of Sydney’s character all work to create an app that kids will want to play again and again.
